Event Focus

You are invited to play a vital part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF's) international challenge to find a cure for diabetes and its complications. You can challenge diabetes and challenge yourself at the JDRF's Jacob's Creek Ride to Cure Diabetes, a spectacular bike ride to be held in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, January 19-21, 2007. Open to individuals and teams, the Jacob's Creek Ride to Cure Diabetes is a weekend adventure. You will enjoy the challenge of an amazing bike ride (you choose the distance that suits you: 35, 80, or 160 km) in a stunning location with inspiring, like-minded people. Most important, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a significant contribution to finding a cure for diabetes by raising funds for the best and most promising Australian diabetes research. For travel, accommodation, and registration information, visit http://ride.jdrf.org.au/events.asp.

The AADE Core Concepts Course is a 3-day course that provides attendees with an intense overview of the field of diabetes education and care. For more information about this and other AADE professional education opportunities, visit http://www.diabeteseducator.org/ContinuingEducationCE/concept.shtml.
